“Lasso” is the fourth single from Martha and track three from upcoming debut EP; It Comes in Waves. Drawing inspiration from touchstone artists Kate Bush, Caroline Polachek and Florence Welsh, Martha has received support from BBC Introducing and airplay from 6 Music and Radio 1. Martha was recently featured on Radio 4’s longstanding programme “Loose Ends” with Clive Anderson and performed an acoustic version of her previous single “Circles” live for broadcast. Martha’s ethereal new single Lasso explores the transition from longing, to moving-on in wanting to break the ties that have been holding you in a relationship.
Martha’s deep connection to singing and songwriting can be traced back to the beginning of a journey that is profoundly personal. It was as a socially anxious child that Martha first discovered the healing power of creating, and began using music as an escape and a remedy.
