What a weekend.
When the sun gods align and there is a Reggae fezzie in town then you know i’m gonna be getting down. Reggae music is my absolute fave.
Positive Vibrations literally smashed its 3rd year making itself known as the best Reggae festival on the North West, with an absolutely stellar line up including some of the biggest names in Reggae such as Don Letts , Roni Size and Lee Scratch Perry.
The 2 day event, which won Best new Festival 2016, was held over multi venues in the Baltic triangle area of Liverpool City Centre, down in Jamaica Street.
As well as a multitude of amazing acts to choose from across Constellations, District/Yard and Hangar 34, there was also JamdownMarket with an array of stalls selling all manner of goodies and a reggae gallery taking bids on 100 pieces of reggae inspired art. Workshops, drumming circles and live Q&A’s added to the festival vibe, keeping dwellers aptly entertained throughout the day.
Food and drinks flowing and the bass in the new bird yard booming, I filled myself up on fresh watermelon in the sunshine courtesy of Naked Lunch, the co-op cafe, while my friends ate an array of ital, pasta and pints.
A family friendly Fezzie, where you can even take your dog. Positive Vibrations Festival will go from strength to strength in the coming years. Looking forward to the next one!
