At Urbanista we love a good road trip and we have an insatiable appetite for top notch house and techno — on Saturday 9th September we’ll be combining the two by attending TAKE’s Manchester debut with their huge booking of CamelPhat! Our electronic music connoisseur, Justin Hopper, will be taking a crew down to Manchester’s underground venue, Gorilla, to enjoy a full on fiesta featuring the headlining duo of ‘Cola’ fame — with support from Paul S, Jack Swaffer & Richey Profond and Liverpool’s very own Craig Cartel.
The Manchester venue, situated under the arches on Whitworth Street in the heart of Manchester, welcomes TAKE — the record label and promoters who have previously booked the likes of Patrick Topping, Seth Troxler and Joris Voorn. TAKE’s Manchester launch will see CamelPhat, who have excelled over the last two years notably with their top tracks ‘Constellations’ and ‘Cola’, smash it at one of the coolest venues the North West has to offer.
Our renegade reporter can’t wait to get involved in this big night and is also looking forward to seeing Craig Cartel once again. Liverpool’s charismatic DJ and promoter, who has played at Ibiza’s top venues and at the recent Sound City festival and who is also responsible for putting on huge shows of his own, will be opening the night from 11pm. The TAKE showcase is set to be an absolute belter so if you fancy a party in Manchester next weekend, look no further than this event….
