Isobel Holly’s latest single, ‘Everything’ is out now. The wonderful hand drawn animation was created by Eileen Lemoine. It tells a moving story of two sisters, and follows their journey from childhood through to their teenage years and all the ups and downs that come with it.
The song itself was inspired by one of Isobel’s family members, and his struggles with mental health. She hopes that listeners will be able to feel that they are never alone with their suffering, that there is always someone there who will want to help them through it and finally, that they’re not the only one with problems such as these.
Hailing from Bath, Isobel Holly is influenced by artists such as Fleetwood Mac and Carole King. These inspirations are reflected in her powerful vocals and heartfelt lyricism. She has been compared to the likes of Carrie Underwood and Tori Amos. She has attracted the attention of her local BBC station; BBC Bristol, and BBC Introducing in the West, amounting in plentiful airplay of her music, live sessions and interviews, including a feature as BBC Upload’s House Band of the Week.
Notable performances include: The Bedford and The Troubadour in London, Night and Day in Manchester, the BBC Bristol Christmas Concert at the Colston Hall, The Club Awards in Copenhagen and The Edinburgh Fringe. After performing on the main stage of the Bath Festival Finale, she also won Bath Introduces, allowing her to record ‘Everything’ at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios.
Isobel has a strong partnership with Yamaha Music, performing as an artist for them and Steinberg Media at shows and in promotional videos, such as BBC Introducing Live and the UR22C interface video.
Currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music, Isobel is set to release her debut album in 2020. She would like to thank all her Kickstarter patrons for their support with this.
