In the realm of pop music, Stacey Jackson stands out not just for her vibrant tunes but for her inspiring story of defying the odds. This July 19th she releases “SUPER WOMAN,” an electrifying pop/dance single that serves as the title track for her upcoming album due later this summer. This song is more than a catchy tune; it’s a declaration of empowerment for women of all ages.
Stacey’s path to music stardom began at 40, an age when many are thinking about slowing down, not starting new careers. Her debut single, “Live It Up,” featuring Snoop Dogg, was a bold entry into the music scene. “If someone told me when I was 11 dreaming of becoming a popstar that 30 years later, I would be recording a record with Snoop Dogg, I would’ve thought they were crazy,” she recalls. “Having that experience gave me more confidence to take more chances.”
“SUPER WOMAN” is a testament to Stacey’s journey and the message she wants to share with the world. “I have been very lucky through the years, having surrounded myself with a community of driven, strong-minded, brilliant empowering women all my life. Having such amazing positivity and inspiration around fuels me,” she says. The chorus captures this spirit:
YA, I’M A LOT
I LIKE WHAT I GOT
I’M SUPERWOMAN
YA, I WON’T STOP
I LIKE WHAT I GOT
I’M SUPERWOMAN
Stacey’s multifaceted career includes hosting the music show “Stacey Jackson In The 80s” on Spotlight TV, founding the fitness apparel line StaeFit, and writing the bestselling novel “How A Gangsta Rapper Made Me A Better Mom.” Balancing these roles, Stacey emphasizes the importance of community and self-care. “It’s community. Never being scared to ask for help to find the right balance. When you’re a new mom especially, you’re overwhelmed and tired. But I am a strong believer in looking after yourself and continuing to do as much as possible for yourself,” she explains.
The new album blends 80s-inspired pop with modern dance music, reflecting Stacey’s deep connection to the music of her youth. “I grew up in the 80s and have been massively influenced by the genres of music in that era. The sounds in the studio today are even more sophisticated,” she notes. “Working with young, talented producers as well as some incredible veterans in the industry helped me achieve that fusion of sound between the 80s and the 2020s.”
As she gears up for the release of “SUPER WOMAN,” Stacey is also embarking on a UK tour, performing at various festivals, clubs, and pride events. She’s promoting her book through podcasts and radio interviews and preparing to release the audio version of her book, complete with a soundtrack she wrote. “I am currently on tour around the UK, performing at festivals, clubs, and prides around the country, with my incredible dancers in tow! It’s a nutty 2024 for me but I’m blessed to have such incredible fans and a supporting family,” she says.
Stacey Jackson’s story is one of resilience and determination. Her music, especially “SUPER WOMAN,” serves as an empowering reminder that it’s never too late to follow your dreams and make an impact. With her upcoming album, Stacey continues to inspire and uplift, proving that empowerment and creativity know no age limits.
