The weekend of 2nd/3rd September sees Alan McGee’s “Musicians Against Homelessness” Weekender return to Hangar 34 in Greenland St, Baltic Triangle.
The star-studied lineup includes the likes of Mark Morriss from The Bluetones, Nigel Clark from Dodgy, Nasher from Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and Tommy Scott of Space joined by Paul Hemmings from The Las and Satin Beige from Cello.
I never tire of seeing Xander and the Peace Pirates who always get the party going, and The Sundowners and Vryll Society are always recommended.
I hear nothing but good things about The Jackobins and The Boston Shakers though I’ve not managed to catch either of them live yet.
The Lottery Winners particularly caught my eye, they don’t seem to play Liverpool very often and they were really impressive when I last saw them a couple of years ago, so I’m keen to find out how they’ve progressed.
Tickets are available from here and cost £11 (inc Booking fee) for a day ticket or £22 for the weekend.
Fab lineup, fab cause, and cheap as chips!
