Before founding Jade Imagine songwriter Jade McInally had been a stalwart of Australia’s indie scene for more than a decade. McInally then sent some Jade Imagine demos to Courtney Barnett collaborator Dave Mudie and, after putting together a band, debut ep ‘What The Fuck Was I Thinking’ – a glorious combination of fuzzy guitars, art rock sounds. Imagine merging Barnett and a bit of Grandaddy/Jason Lytle and you wouldn’t be far off the mark – was released in 2017 on Barnett’s Milk! Records. Fast forward a couple of years that included tours with The Pretenders, Angel Olsen, Benjamin Booker and more and Jade Imagine are set to release new single ‘Big Ole House’. Retaining the fuzzy lo-fi indie guitar sound full of hooks, McInally’s voice is dreamy, soft yet at the same time full of assuranceas she reminds us there is light in dark times and to let the positive in even if all you feel is negative.
‘Big Ole House’ will be released by both Marathon Artists & Milk! Records
