Isolated Youth were formed north of Stockholm in March 2017 by brothers William & Axel Mårdberg along with Egon Westberg Larsson and Andreas Geidemark.
Since their formation Isolated Youth have reinvented early guitar-based post punk into a trademark sound which is setting them apart from their peers and gaining them international recognition. In early 2019 Fabrika Records released the bands critically acclaimed debut EP “Warfare” which was described as “One of the most beautiful works of art that contemporary post-punk can be proud of having received in the last few decades,” by Threshold magazine. The international post punk scene now eagerly awaits the release of their 2nd EP on March 20th which will be accompanied by EU & UK shows. You wont be able to catch these for much longer in intimate venues such as sound basement, so be there and forever cash in the muso kudos that your insight and wisdom will be rewarded with.
Local support comes from darkwave/industrial duo God on my right, “brutalist post punks” Uncle Jane, and old wild fruit Jamie
Isolated Youth + God On My Right + Uncle Jane and Jamie are at Sound Basement on Sunday 29th March, 19:00 – £8 OTD.
