Indian music pioneers Tarang premiere new album.

Indian music ensemble Tarang will launch their new album in Liverpool this July, with a live performance at Capstone Theatre.

On 21st July, Tarang return to the Capstone stage with an exciting concert showcasing their brilliant new album ‘Undone’, opening this year’s Indika festival. Tarang’s music is soulful, stylish and innovative, featuring an array of instruments, ideas and influences.

Tarang was established by Indian Arts Development Trust, Milapfest, and remains the only ensemble of its kind in Europe. Their combination of North and South Indian music traditions with Western instruments and elements of performance, creates a concert experience rarely seen elsewhere.

Tarang launched their new sound back in July 2016 where they performed four brand new, never-before-heard tracks from their upcoming album at Indika, a performance which Bido Lito magazine described as “epic layered soundscapes [and] estatic whirlwinds which […] have the audience on their feet clapping and cheering”.

Tarang are at the forefront of experimentation in Indian music and this year continue ripping up the rulebook, producing something truly astonishing, groundbreaking and soul-stirring. Featuring a line-up of top percussionists, singers and instrumental players, this is Indian music unlike you have ever heard.
