The newcomer Fort Capulet from Germany has just finished his short UK tour, a three-stop run through Edinburgh, Glasgow and London that introduced his atmospheric modern-emo sound to new audiences. Though still early in his career, the artist managed to draw curious listeners who were eager to discover fresh talent outside the mainstream.

Fort Capulet’s live shows, despite being modest in scale, proved very rich in personality and his original songs in particular connected surprisingly well with the audience. In Glasgow, he opened with a stripped-back setup—just an acoustic guitar and a minimal lighting rig—creating a moody, immersive tone for the evening. Edinburgh brought a slightly livelier crowd, and Capulet responded by leaning into cover songs a lot, seemingly a bit too shy to present his original work with the same confidence.

London, the final stop, felt like the moment where everything clicked. Performing in a small but bustling venue, he presented an unexpected piano ballad by the title of “For Ever And Us”, teasing his upcoming debut release. While audience members may not have known his name beforehand, many stuck around afterward to chat with him directly—something that seems to be a natural fit for his down-to-earth approach.

Between sets, Fort Capulet mentioned that the purpose of the tour wasn’t promotion but connection. He wanted to test how his new material translated live and to meet real listeners face-to-face rather than through algorithms. Now back in his home studio, Fort Capulet plans to continue writing and refining tracks for his debut release. Despite the occasional self-doubt on stage, he seems confident in his songwriting abilities and wherever his project goes next, the UK will surely be listening.
