Tea Street Band Live at District – Review

Tea Street Band with support from Beyond Average and Tracky
District, Liverpool
Friday 16th November 2018

On a rather mild Friday Night for November Local lads The Tea Street Band played their second sold out gig at District, Liverpool as part of their Frequency Tour. Frequency having been recorded at Parr Street studios and  their latest album release on the 9th of November.

Anyone who knows anything about Liverpool music will know what The Tea Street band are all about. With their signature guitar riffs topped with top sounding synths.

The guys started the set with the 2014 tune “Summer Dreaming” before playing three songs from Frequency “Sacre Coeur” , “Marseille Blues” and “Taken It All” which the sold out crowd seemed to love. It was then onto a Tea Street Band classic “Disco Lights” to which everybody lucky enough to be there sang and danced along to.

The Tea Street Band know how to please their loyal fans and this night was no exception with a really nice tight set and keeping the punters happy and involved all the way with a top class performance.

Supporting them on the night was local rappers “Beyond Average” rapping about such things as smoking weed and keeping the boys in blue at a distance and finished with a rap all about talking scouse (with translations)

Also on the line up was “Tracky” who thanks to his poppy catchy tunes is now quite regular and popular in the local scene. He makes sure everyone knows who he is with his name in lights for all to see.

So all in all a very good night and if you haven’t heard The tea Street Bands new album “Frequency” yet, Why Not ? , go give it a spin now, well worth it I would say.
