The sun is back out, summer’s finale is delayed for another 24 hours – all thanks to the emphatic return of Wirral’s finest The Sundowners – who mark their return with infectious new single River Run.
Featuring a lead riff of kings and queens from The Coral’s James Skelly (who also recorded/produced the tune in Parr Street Studios) and those killer signature Rowe/Skelly harmonies we’ve become accustomed to, it’s an absolute belter.
Out now on Skeleton Key Records, the new single is the official start of the next chapter of The Sundowners as they continue to work on new music and look ahead to album number three, and if the vibe started by River Run is anything to go buy, album three just might be the best yet…watch this space.
