My Side of Paradise have always thrived in the in-between: where emo nostalgia meets modern pop-rock shine, and where big feelings coexist with a wink of self-awareness. With their new single “All My Exes”, featuring pop-punk icon Jaret Reddick, the band leans fully into that balance, delivering a track that’s playful, candid, and unapologetically catchy. Known for their emotional heft on songs like I’ve Got Time and Roulette, this latest release flips the script, embracing the uncomfortable truth that sometimes heartbreak isn’t about the villain—it’s about the mirror. Fresh off years of touring and honing their chemistry through their Emo Kids project, My Side of Paradise sound more confident than ever, bridging generations of pop-punk while carving out a lane that feels entirely their own. We caught up with the band to talk studio antics, dream collaborations, guilty pleasures, and why owning your flaws might be the most punk thing of all.

If “All My Exes” had a superpower, what would it be?

Shoot straight to number 1 on the charts!

Who had the most fun in the studio while recording this track, and what was the funniest moment?

Probably Jason. We added a lot of other percussion elements and one in this song is a cow bell. He was having fun dancing around while playing.

Did you ever imagine you’d be making a song with a pop-punk legend like Jaret Reddick?

We definitely could not imagine this, but we have had a lot of awesome experiences over the last few years. Hope that trend continues!

If each of you could sum up the song in one emoji, which would it be?

One of these

What’s your guilty pleasure pop-punk song you’d blast in the car when no one’s around?

“Going Away To College” by Blink 182 is one of my favs.

If you could swap lives with a character in the All My Exes music video, who would it be and why?

Jaret Reddick. He seems to live a really fun life touring the world and playing for awesome fans!

Did any hilarious “oops” moments happen while filming the video?

Our drummer got a little too drunk while waiting for his turn to film, so that made editing tough. Haha.

If you could feature any other pop-punk or emo legend on a future track, who would it be?

Mark Hoppus or Patrick Stump would be amazing for sure.

What’s the song you can’t stop dancing or air-guitaring to right now?

I can’t tell you, yet, it is a classic cover we are going to be doing!

If you had to describe your band in a meme, which one would it be?

The new John Hamm meme at a rave.
