Bearded Theory 2019 Tickets to go on Sale Saturday 15th September

After the overwhelming success of Bearded Theory Festival 2018 (one of the few festivals to sell all the available tickets) 2019 is scheduled to take place over the festival’s traditional late May Bank Holiday Weekend.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, 15th September 2018 at 9am.  Adult weekend tickets including camping cost £122.50, but the first 1,500 “early bird” tickets will sell for just £105 (both + booking fee).

Monthly installment plans are available as usual to help spread the cost, and the Ofsted approved school will be operating so that your kids won’t have to miss a day’s school on the Friday.

Unlike some of the big corporate festivals, Bearded Theory listens to feedback and acts on it.

One of the few niggles last year was the traffic on the Thursday afternoon became grid-locked with people desperately trying to get to the festival after the midday opening of the gates, to catch that night’s bands.  Having set off from Liverpool mid-afternoon, we didn’t arrive until about 10pm so missed The Whip and Reverend and The Makers who we were looking forward to.

This year they are opening the gates at 9am, and there are no bands on the Thursday, so that people aren’t all rushing at the same time.  In addition they have booked CTM to manage the traffic (The UKs biggest and most respected parking and traffic management company).

Not only will it help to spread the traffic out over the day, but not having bands on the Thursday means you can relax, take your time setting up your tent, chat with your tent neighbours, and check out the site on the Thursday without needing to run around trying to catch bands.

No lineup announcements will be made until later in the Autumn, but they promise “The Bearded Theory booking team are hard at work securing some of the best live acts on the planet to perform at BT2019”.

Michael Eccleshall, Bearded Theory spokesperson says,

“2018 was an exceptional year for everyone involved in Bearded Theory Festival. To welcome the likes of Robert Plant, Jimmy Cliff and hundreds more to our Spring Gathering – which started out as a stage in a pub garden made out of pallets a few miles up the road – was just mind blowing! We are incredibly proud of the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from both fans and the media for this year’s event, however we are never complacent. There is no doubt that we have our work cut out to make 2019 even better – but myself and the entire Bearded Theory crew have complete confidence that BT2019 will deliver the best experience yet to the only people that matter – our loyal festival-goers.

See you all back at Catton Hall in May!”

Having started life more than a decade ago as a birthday party in the garden of the Knockerdown Pub in Derbyshire, Bearded Theory’s Spring Gathering has evolved to become one of the UK’s best-loved and critically acclaimed festivals, winning major awards including: ‘Best Small Festival’, ‘Best Promoter’ and ‘Best Family Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards; and ‘Best UK Independent Festival’ at the AIM Independent Music Awards.
