Biography
MXY is a Pioneering Music Artist, Songwriter, Producer, and DJ from the UK, one of the first-ever female British Indian DJs from the north of the UK, to write and produce all of her own Music in the Dance Music scene. MXY was signed at twenty-two by the ‘Godfather of House’ Todd Terry. She has gone on to sign her third record deal last year and just released her debut Album ‘Mind Body & Soul’ which has a focus on representing mental health.
Continuing to break boundaries in Music, a relentless, trail-blazing game changer, sending an empowering message for the under represented and within Mental Health. With a completely original sound, the ‘All in One’ package and the UK’s ‘next Northern DJ version’ of M.I.A.
MXY is a three time award winner and has been performing nationwide as a Producer/DJ since an early age and has worked with BBC 1XTRA. She has worked on her album with grammy nominated and platinum selling producer Chad Dexter (50 cent, Post Malone, Ashanti) and major label engineer Elliot James (Plan B, Neyo, Maroon 5). Along the way she has also attracted the attention of world class leading DJs such Gorgon City, Groove Armada, Rudimental and Don Diablo. More recently being signed by Noughties Garage Duo Scott and Leon with her latest track ‘Since I Met You’ and to the Canadian label LFTD Global with the track ‘Ice’.
