Lennon Gallagher, son of Oasis legend, Liam Gallagher, features in Tessuti’s latest episode of interview series, Stand Out Stories and reveals feeling vulnerable at castings.
Model and musician, Lennon, is the second member of the Gallagher family to be profiled in the series after his brother Gene was highlighted earlier this year.
Talking about his modelling career, Lennon says:
“It’s always pretty difficult putting yourself up for castings and stuff and putting yourself out there.
“And then there’s like hundreds of people who maybe look a bit like you or look so different to you.
“Everyone is going in and out, and you’re like, ‘I’m not going to get this!’ You kind of do get a bit insecure, I can’t lie.”
Wearing designs from PS Paul Smith’s current collection, Lennon shares his style icons, music influences and why chooses to not live a ‘celebrity’ lifestyle. He also discusses his band, Automation and says the music is more important than fame:
“Certain bands like Slint, King Crimson, Black Midi, Fat White Family, they’ve all influenced us.
“As we’re progressing as musicians, we’re learning new techniques and new ways to make music that we didn’t really think about before.
“I’d define it as cacophony, just loud, harsh. It definitely has rock elements [and] experimental, we like to push boundaries as much as we can.”
“The band isn’t individually focused on who’s in the band, it’s more about the band itself – it’s about the music. The whole idea of a celebrity, kind of not wanting to go down that route.’
