This week’s track of the week goes to the hugely exciting Tally Spear and her phenomenal new single Can’t Find What I’m Looking For.
It’s an infectious dose of bassy pop laced with rock attitudes, carried by Spear’s brooding vocals, detailing the struggle to find meaningful relationships, experiences, and the difficulty of just being content in this society.
The self-made accompanying video, eerily shot across London the night before lockdown set in, features Spear skating through empty, dark; Soho, Piccadilly and Maida Vale streets, beautifully tranquil and pretty on brand for these turbulent, socially distant times.
There’s also an EP on the way in the summer, which based on Can’t Find What I’m Looking For is one to keep very close eyes and ears on. For now though, this tune’s destined for the repeat button. Turn it up loud.
