An indie/folk duo comprised of Robert Griffin (U.S) and Chloe Danz (New Zealand). The two met by pure luck over the internet in November, 2017.
Not long after meeting online, they sparked a friendship and shared love for acoustic, pared back and honest music. From their unlikely meeting, the two began the journey of writing and collaborating on original music from opposite ends of the earth, while still never actually meeting in person. Emails, make-shift home recordings, voice notes, Skype meetings led to songs that came quickly, and a true musical chemistry was born.
Soon after writing the first handful of songs, the two decided to try something completely unconventional. Using local studios in their respective countries, the duo began recording and sending tracks back and forth across the globe to piece together a complete body of work. This unique and considerably challenging way of writing, composing, and performing has led to this moment. These “Unintended Strangers” invite you to experience a different kind of collaboration.
