Brighton quartet Fur bag this weeks track of the week with their nostalgic, 60’s esque romp Angel Eyes.
It’s a lovely, charming preview of their debut EP out on the terrific Nice Swan Records (Pip Blom, Sports Team) on Valentines Day.
The Sepia-tinged accompanying video, shot on grainy Super8-style film is also very cool and suits the bands overall style like a glove.
They’re still relatively new on the scene but have supported Miles Kane and got the nod of approval from BBC 6 Music guru Steve Lamacq thus far – which is pretty tidy work indeed.
On the face of it Angel Eyes as a track and video combo, is the kind of wholesome autumnal content you long for in mid-November. It really makes you want to delve into the wardrobe and dig out your favourite rusts and browns. So pure and british and 60’s and…luuuurrrvvely.
