Liverpool Sound City always excel when it comes to showcasing emerging music and this year a new star emerges from across the pond – L.A singer-songwriter Pearl Charles.
Hitting the UK for the first time, on a limited run of intimate dates in support of her wonderful debut album Sleepless Dreamer, 27 year-old Charles plays a set at Best Before in Liverpool on Saturday night as part of this year’s Sound City festival – in what promises to be one of the highlights of the weekend.
Despite creating and releasing music for several years prior to putting out her debut full-length on Kanine Records, she’s yet to break the UK, meaning she’s not on everyone’s radars heading into her Sound City date and will be completly new to most.
That will change however for anyone who catches her set this weekend – either intentionally or by accident (as can often happen at multi-stage festivals.) So take a chance and witness her music live, she’s amazing and will make a fan of you, without a doubt.
A stunning mix of strong 60s and 70s vibes, full of cosmic country and rock fuses, with lush harmonies and summery melodies. Pearl Charles is a must for your Sound City plans. Make a note now. Highlight her in your clashfinder. You won’t regret it.
You can hear Pearl Charles album here and purchase tickets to see her live at Sound City May 4th alongside 100s more artists here.
Pearl Charles plays at Best Before, Saturday 7.45pm for Liverpool Sound City.
