1- Please, introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is BAILROSE and I have been singing and performing for the the last 8 years. In the last 2 years, I have started writing my own music. This year, I decided to release one of my songs Break My Heart, which is now on all major streaming services.
2- What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
Since I was a young girl, I have always loved to sing and I love the rush of singing in front of crowds. I got into performing 8 years ago and have been doing band gigs here and there since. I realized music was my chosen path because I have realized singing is and always has been very natural for me. I was told by my family members and friends I should pursue further with my music. So, in most recent years I have realized what I could potentially do with music and decided to go at it at full force.
3- Tell us about your single. And what’s the story behind it?
I wrote my single Break my Heart originally about all the individuals that I have encountered in my life that have let me down at some point in time. I decided in order to connect with the audience better I decided to write it about an individual Breaking my Heart, because I know at some point in time, all of us girls have had their heart broken and I didn’t want those girls who have had their heart broken to feel alone. I wrote the song at my house and decided to go to a recording studio in Springfield, MO where I live. I went to Studio 2100 and worked with Jeff Smith and mastered the track. From there, I released my first single.
4- What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?
My music is unique because I strive to make original sound. I want to be unique myself, I don’t want to copy other artist, I want to be my own artist. My music is a story of how I have felt at a point in time through music production. I want to connect to my listeners with my story.
5- What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
My advice to aspiring musicians is to pursue your dreams and do not let society tell you what your place is. Only you know your purpose in this world. Also, don’t let the word “no” stopping you from doing you.
6- Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
My music influences are Lady Gaga, Janis Joplin, Alanis Morisette. All these women are bad ass and I respect them. I would love to collaborate with Lady Gaga or Alanis Morisette, I love their energy.
7- If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
The message I would give my fans is to be true to yourself and to follow your dreams.
8- What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
So far, I am currently re writing some older songs I have written and working on giving them a more clean, studio quality
